This week has been so crazy busy and I've had about a million things on my "to do" list. I've always been pretty good at time management but this past week has really tested me... :) Anyway, I know this family has been so patiently waiting to see their family session post and I finally have it up and ready to be viewed. They are the kindest and cutest family ever. Last summer they came into town and wanted some family shots with her side of the family and this year they came back to do photos with his parents and to top it off... they added a sweet little boy to the family. I have always found it to be so neat to see and photograph families that grow.. LOVE it! Thanks so much guys for visiting Williamsburg again and for allowing me to photograph your amazing family!!

My little Niece : Williamsburg Baby Photography
It's been really busy around here lately and I haven't been posting a whole ton. It will pick up again soon but for now I've been doing a thousand other things on top of photography. I guess that's just the way life goes. Last weekend my niece, Berlin, came to visit me. She is just as adorable as can be and I want to eat her up. I love the 6 month -12 months stage. Those are some of my favorite times with babies and I really miss that stage with mine. Here she is at a whole whopping 6 months old.

The Jagears Family: Springfield, Missouri
Are they not the cutest family? I totally think so! Michelle and I have been friends on facebook for a few years now and when she heard I was coming to Missouri she said that they most definitely wanted photos done. I was super excited! Not only did they want photos but they have never had professional images of their family taken and I was honored that they chose me. I met up with them in the downtown area where we walked, talked and shot images. It was the perfect evening and much warmer than the weekend before. Like I have stated so many times previous, I love getting to catch up with all of my clients and friends. The kids have grown so much that I actually didn't realize that I used to coach Gabby when she was like 12 or something. Complete craziness! Thanks Michelle for allowing me to shoot your amazingly gorgeous family!

The Wessley Family: Where the love just keeps on coming.
Here I sit at my computer with my power on and the hurricane beating down. It's actually not too bad this time around. I still have my power.. Amen, and I can can continue to work on images and hopefully get some things accomplished. Work has been cancelled as well as all the local schools. So I'm assuming most people are baking, watching TV, reading books and sleeping in. I did get to bake some yummy cookies yesterday with the kids and those are about gone... sad. Guess I will have to make some more. It's been nice having the rain and having to actually stay inside. The kiddos have been playing well and I'm going to do a cute halloween project with them that I found on pinterest. Should make a for relaxed day... we hope.
Ok, on to the photo session. Well, I know you have seen this adorable family and with each time I've done a session with them they have added a child. They just welcomed a third boy to their ever so sweet family. They are the nicest people you could ever meet and it ends up that we have lots in common. They too homeschool their kids, they are so laid back, fun, and are outdoor people who are also in the swimming world. I always look forward to going back to Missouri so that Becca and I can catch up on so much stuff... kids, friends, life, religion, school, and more life. I really miss being around them. It's sad when you do find such great friends and yet you live so far apart. I'm blessed to at least call them friends and know that they are only a phone call away. Until the next time I'm in Missouri...

Emma. Childhood Cancer Photographer
While Montana battled cancer for 2.5 years, we waited in many waiting rooms, hospitals, doctor offices and much time was spent talking with other parents. Some hospitals were filled with children and parents going through the same thing you were, while other hospitals had parents and children who had no idea what you were experiencing. Montana received lots of stares and I received the questions. It really didn't bother me. I knew people wanted to know. They wanted to know why this adorable little boy was wearing a mask, why he had no hair, why he was eating bags of BBQ chips at 7 in the morning and I would always politely give my answer... he had cancer. Along that road, we have come to know so many wonderful parents and children who have battled and are still battling this horrible disease. They have been our life line in a world of words and abbreviations filled with ANC, steroids, DEX, punctures, "the white meds" or "the sleepy stuff". They understood when we cried and were fed up with seeing our child fight every single day for their life. They were there to talk and share similar stories. They are our best friends. We can still keep up and still reminisce. Some of these kids have lost their battle and earned their angle wings, others are cancer free and some are continuing this long and courageous fight. Meet Emma. She is so sweet and adorable. I'm honestly not really sure when we came to know them. I remember doing an Images of HOPE session for her about a year ago and then we met up at St. Jude when Montana was going in for his one year check up. Well, while we were in Missouri two weeks ago, I met up with them again. Her hair is grown back and she is looking GREAT!! They are coming up on their NO MO CHEMO day!! It's such a grand celebration that deserves so much hype and attention! She battled and she is winning! We love you Emma. Keep it up!
