It's been a few months since I've shot this families photos and they have been super patient in waiting to see them. Life gets a little crazy at times and even more so when you live in a tiny camper with little to no wifi. That part alone makes it very difficult to get alot accomplished because it seems you are always going over on data. Plus, it doesn't help that small mountain town living doesn't offer a lot of free wifi anywhere. Never the less, here is their photo session. They are such a sweet family with three crazy little kiddos and a new one on the way. I met Amanda back in Williamsburg, Virginia and since then we have both gone on to new locations across the United States. It's always pretty neat to meet up down the road so that we can catch up and chat about life's happenings.
Thanks a ton Amanda and fam for allowing me to capture this journey you guys are on! Best of luck with the new baby on the way!! We'll have to meet up again soon! :)

Florida High School Senior Session.
Wow, I guess it's been ove a year since I've posted anything on my blog and if you've been following along over at Haulin' With The Oats, then you would know that we have been living in a camper and traveling the country. So first off, this blog alone needs major work and tons of updating. The website up there will no longer be my website. It will eventually be www.JessicaOatman.com and many of the links on this blog do not work. Guess I'll be even more busy in the coming months. In the past two years or so, I've sort of taken a break from the photo gig and have been mainly working on my hair bow shop. It keeps me super busy as does the roadschooling of the kiddos. However, I've also recently gotten back to picking up my camera, shooting photo sessions and documenting our travels just a tad more. When the time comes, I'll try to post some of the awesome places we've been and the cool places we've seen.
In the meantime, we traveled to Florida last month to visit with friends and family. We took the kids to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, which we LOVE! On our travels down to there, I shot 4 photo sessions... 1 in Missouri, 1 in Arkansas and 2 in Florida. It was a great feeling to be back behind the camera and I plan on eventually getting a new website up. I'm not so sure on shooting weddings but we'll see where this path leads us.
Here is a high school senior session mixed with a mini family session. I met Allison years ago at a fundraiser in Ft. Bragg for my brother who is friends with one of our cancer moms.. small world! She now lives in St. Pete, Fl where I had the opportunity to shoot Ben's school photos. They're such a sweet family and a complete pleasure to work with. Plus, they've been super patient in waiting to see any photos since I've returned back to Colorado. It's just been a tad crazy around here to say the least.
Thanks so much you Allison! It was awesome getting to see you again and hopefully we'll get to meet up again whenever we hit up Florida.

Colonial Williamsburg Family Session
Last weekend the weather was absolutely wonderful. I ended up having two family photo sessions and we could not have asked for better timing. However, everyone else thought it would also be a great time to stroll through the streets Colonial Williamsburg and that made parking a beast but other than that, it was perfect!
If you all remember this lovely little family, baby A was only a newborn right at Christmas time and now he is 10 months old. He is the cutest little thing you ever did see. His eyes are big, brown and amazing!!! I just couldn't get over his cuteness. :) He was very serious the entire time, never made a peep but mommy and daddy did get him to crack a smile a time or two. Happy Holidays to the Erlich Family!

The Waldron Family: Colonial Williamsburg Virginia Family Photography
This week has been so crazy busy and I've had about a million things on my "to do" list. I've always been pretty good at time management but this past week has really tested me... :) Anyway, I know this family has been so patiently waiting to see their family session post and I finally have it up and ready to be viewed. They are the kindest and cutest family ever. Last summer they came into town and wanted some family shots with her side of the family and this year they came back to do photos with his parents and to top it off... they added a sweet little boy to the family. I have always found it to be so neat to see and photograph families that grow.. LOVE it! Thanks so much guys for visiting Williamsburg again and for allowing me to photograph your amazing family!!

The Wessley Family: Where the love just keeps on coming.
Here I sit at my computer with my power on and the hurricane beating down. It's actually not too bad this time around. I still have my power.. Amen, and I can can continue to work on images and hopefully get some things accomplished. Work has been cancelled as well as all the local schools. So I'm assuming most people are baking, watching TV, reading books and sleeping in. I did get to bake some yummy cookies yesterday with the kids and those are about gone... sad. Guess I will have to make some more. It's been nice having the rain and having to actually stay inside. The kiddos have been playing well and I'm going to do a cute halloween project with them that I found on pinterest. Should make a for relaxed day... we hope.
Ok, on to the photo session. Well, I know you have seen this adorable family and with each time I've done a session with them they have added a child. They just welcomed a third boy to their ever so sweet family. They are the nicest people you could ever meet and it ends up that we have lots in common. They too homeschool their kids, they are so laid back, fun, and are outdoor people who are also in the swimming world. I always look forward to going back to Missouri so that Becca and I can catch up on so much stuff... kids, friends, life, religion, school, and more life. I really miss being around them. It's sad when you do find such great friends and yet you live so far apart. I'm blessed to at least call them friends and know that they are only a phone call away. Until the next time I'm in Missouri...

Running for the wild.
This little guy did not want to sit still. You will notice this throughout the series of images, however, we got him. We got him in ONE photo to sit there and smile. yay for us adults!! He was energetic and as adorably cute as could be. Believe it or not, this is the first couple where I've shot their wedding and then shot their expanding family. It's awesome to be able to capture their family as it is today. That's what I love about my job... capturing the love, the energy, and the happiness of families and couples. What a great thing to be able to do. Love it and love this awesome family!! Check out how sweet they are.
