Colonial Williamsburg Family Session

Last weekend the weather was absolutely wonderful. I ended up having two family photo sessions and we could not have asked for better timing. However, everyone else thought it would also be a great time to stroll through the streets Colonial Williamsburg and that made parking a beast but other than that, it was perfect! 

If you all remember this lovely little family, baby A was only a newborn right at Christmas time and now he is 10 months old. He is the cutest little thing you ever did see. His eyes are big, brown and amazing!!! I just couldn't get over his cuteness. :) He was very serious the entire time, never made a peep but mommy and daddy did get him to crack a smile a time or two. This week has been so crazy busy and I've had about a million things on my "to do" list. I've always been pretty good at time management but this past week has really tested me... :) Anyway, I know this family has been so patiently waiting to see their family session post and I finally have it up and ready to be viewed. They are the kindest and cutest family ever. Last summer they came into town and wanted some family shots with her side of the family and this year they came back to do photos with his parents and to top it off... they added a sweet little boy to the family. I have always found it to be so neat to see and photograph families that grow.. LOVE it! Thanks so much guys for visiting Williamsburg again and for allowing me to photograph your amazing family!! 

Marianna : Colonial Williamsburg Senior Photography

This sweet senior came from Ohio on vacation with her family and booked a session with me to have her photos done. I tend to shoot more weddings than anything lately so being able to shoot high school seniors is such a nice change. However, seniors have always been a fave of mine anyway.. especially when they are as layed back and fun as she was. Colonial Williamsburg Family Photographer

The weekend before Christmas I got a last minute phone call from a family on vacation who wanted to know if they could have some family photos done. Of course I could do that. My in-laws were coming into town and I had no where I needed to be. The next day was Christmas Eve and all we would be doing was wrapping presents and cleaning the house. So, that morning I met this lovely family and we walked around Colonial to take some photos. All three of these girl were so gorgeous and they all live in a different state. It was neat to see them together knowing that they are all a year apart. It reminded me of my girls who are also a year apart and made me think of what they may be like years from now. I still have time for that but I know that time does go by fast. 

On this day, it was probably the last nice warm day and it turned out perfect for the session. We could not complain, that's for sure. Today it's cold, 43 and raining. What a way to bring in the New Year. So on that note... Happy New Year to you all and many blessings in 2013!! 

Colonial Williamsburg Family Photography

This is probably one of the sweetest, kindest and most giving families I have ever met! Seriously, I can't say enough good things about them. I met Aprill months ago and we have become quite good friends. She homeschools her boy as do I and they love playing together. It's just so awesome when you can meet other homeschoolers and your kids hit it off. Needless to say, we will be seeing more of each other quite often.

Aprill has her own bow business called Buttercup Boutique. She makes the most awesome headbands, bows, and newborn headbands. So make sure you hop over to shop, give her some love and check out her work. I'm sure she would LOVE it! :) You can find it HERE!!

Anyway, I met their family today at Colonial Williamsburg. It was such a nice evening and we just did a super quick mini session. It was super busy down there... Lots of people walking all over the place. I can't blame them though. It was the perfect evening for a stroll. I love Colonial Williamsburg in the winter. The houses all have wreaths placed on the doors and it just looks so festive. Such a great location for a family session in December.

Colonial Williamsburg Maternity Photography

A couple of years ago I shot Veronica's photos for her as a surprise gift for her husband. Well a few weeks ago she asked if I would shoot her maternity photos. I was so excited to find out they were pregnant. At the time I shot her images she had been trying to get pregnant but things don't turn out as we always plan. Needless to say... she is pregnant!!! yay. They are going to be having a little boy due the day after Christmas and are naming him Alexander. I'm just beyond happy for the both of them!! They will be wonderful parents. Congrats to the both of you and many blessings in the coming months!
