Heidelberg & Rothenburg

Oh how I'm longing to go back to Germany. It's definitely one of my most favorite places in the world. The food, the scenery, the people, the life... so fun. I'm so happy I was able to take my husband and son. Next time, I will definitely have to take the girls. They would love it over there too.

Our trip was back in May but right when I got back it started wedding season and swim team and summer. I just have not had the time to actually go through all of these images. There are just way to many. That's a good thing though. It shows our amazing trip of traveling through Germany and Austria. When we landed, we got a rental car and drove to Heidelberg. Heidelberg has my heart. It's where I was born, it's where alot of my childhood memories come from, and it's where I lived for 9 years. It's awesome. I would move back there in a heart beat. You wouldn't have to ask me to pack because I would have left it all behind and already been over there. My husband also fell in love with the german lifestyle. There's just something about it.

We also stopped in a town called Rothenburg. It's known for the medieval walls that are built around the city. You can actually walk around the entire city on the walls from above. If you plan to go to Germany, I would say that this is a must see. The quaint shopping, eating, and lifestyle is unlike anything over here. I loved the colors of the buildings, the walking, the stone roads, and the list could go on. I fell in love with this city.
